Swim meet this Tuesday at Amberly
July 12th
Hi Sharks,
Great job to everyone at Cary City Meet!
Please see the information below for our final meet of the season against the Amberly Anacondas this Tuesday (7/14). Note that a waiver must be completed by each family prior to arrival.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Address: 1075 Residents Club Drive, Cary, NC 27519
- There is a large lot [1] immediately behind the clubhouse that should offer plenty of parking for everyone (pro tip – might be easiest to park nearer to the back gate [4], since that is where you will likely be exiting at the end of the meet!)
- If you have anything large (i.e. pop-up tents) to get on to the deck, please let us know and we can open the back gate [4] to make it a little easier to unload.
Arrival & Entry
- Everyone must enter through the main entrance [2] of the club house.
- Each family (one per family) from the Visiting team must complete a waiver in advance. The easiest way is to do this in advance online at this URL: https://ampoa.formstack.com/forms/visiting_swim_team_waiver Clubhouse staff will be verifying that everyone has completed their waiver upon arrival.
- If someone doesn’t complete it prior to arrival, they can do so upon arrival after entering the clubhouse foyer. Amberly clubhouse staff will be there to assist.
Set Up
- The Northeast and Southeast areas of the lap pool deck [3] are for your team to use during the swim meet. If it gets too crowded please let one of us know and we can try to find more room.We have seen this happen in the past with larger teams.
- Due to the likelihood of a sunny, hot day, feel free to bring some pop-up tents for your area to provide additional shade. We have one tent that will be used for the meet administration area and there is room for a few others as well in your areas.
Swim Meet Schedule
- Start time is 6:00pm, immediately following the National Anthem.
- We will complete our warmups NLT 5:30pm.
- Your team will have the pool from 5:30-6:00pm for warmups.
- Pre-meeting for volunteer officials at 5:45pm near the back gate [4] for a review of the conduct of the meet flow and address any last-minute questions, review of safety items, etc.
